  • Pollution Prevention in Schools - Electronic Waste, 2004, 2 pp, 80 kB.   This publication outlines the problems associated with improper disposal of electronic waste, particularly obsolete computers.  It refers to the current (as of 2004) Alabama regulatory requirements regarding disposal of this type of equipment and presents a variety of appropriate disposal approaches.
     
  • Waste Reduction and Energy Conservation in Schools, 2003, 5 pp, 79 kB.  This informational bulletin discusses changes in lighting, HVAC and building envelope that can be made to reduce electrical usage and demand charges and also suggests water use and recycling approaches that can reduce school operating costs.
     
  • Performance Contracting, 2003, 1 pp, 53 kB.  This short brochure provides guidance for schools interested in using performance contracting to reduce their utility bills.  It provides a number of suggestions that can help school administrators appropriately monitor and validate the performance contractors' suggestions. 
     
  • Pollution Prevention in Schools - Mercury, 2003, 4 pp, 202 kB.  This brochure describes the problems associated with the presence of elemental mercury in a school environment.  Topics include: sources of mercury in the school environment, health and legal problems involved, and some cleanup, avoidance, and management suggestions for administrators, teachers, and maintenance/custodial staff.  
     
  • Waste Reduction Guide - Measuring Success, Waste Reduction Results in Alabama, 2000, 52 pp, 8 MB.  This publication is a study of WRATT program effectiveness.  It presents more than 70 specific examples of cost and energy savings recommendations implemented by WRATT clients, representing a wide variety of industry sectors.  Due to the size of this publication is is supplied as a zipped PDF file.  
     
  • Shop Guide to Reduce Wastewater from the Machining and Metal Fabrication industry, 1996, 49 pp, 840 kB.  This booklet was prepared to support a series of seminars conducted by WRATT under a contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority and EPA Region V.
     
  • Shop Guide to Reduce the Waste of Metalworking Fluids, 1996, 44 pp, 673 kB.  This booklet was prepared to support a series of seminars conducted by WRATT under a contract with the Tennessee Valley Authority and EPA Region V.
     
  • WasteTrade Brochure, 2006, 2 pp, 119 kB.  Informational brochure describing the North Alabama Waste and Surplus Material Exchange, operated by the WRATT Foundation under contract with the Appalachian Regional Commission.
